eMUSIC TO RELEASE EXCLUSIVE LIVE EPS APRIL 24 FROM
SNOWDEN, AU REVOIR SIMONE, THE BROKEN WEST, ROCK PLAZA CENTRAL AND FRIGHTENED RABBIT

Performances Recorded Live at Urban Outfitters in Austin during SXSW

NEW YORK, April. 18, 2007 -- On April 24, eMusic
, in partnership with Urban Outfitters, will unveil an exclusive series of live albums recorded at this year's South by Southwest festival featuring five exciting and promising independent artists. Recorded at Urban Outfitters' downtown Austin location, the eMusic and Urban Outfitters-curated lineup showcases some of the most buzzed-about artists of the year, including Snowden, Au Revoir Simone, the Broken West, Rock Plaza Central and an exciting unsigned act from Glasgow, Scotland, Frightened Rabbit. The EPs will be available exclusively on eMusic for one year, with one song from each artist available free at both eMusic and Urbanoutfitters.com.

The live performances capture not only the excitement and energy of SXSW, but the reasons why these five acts are held in such high esteem. Snowden, an Atlanta quartet, have received fawning press based on their 2006 Jade Tree debut, which eMusic praised for its "stunning vigor." Au Revoir Simone, a Top 100 album on eMusic, have been lauded by Pitchfork and MTV alike, and are currently on tour with buzz band Peter, Bjorn and John. The Broken West's Merge debut, an eMusic subscriber favorite, wonderfully blends jangling guitars with fiery pop melodies. Rock Plaza Central's self-released debut garnered rave reviews from Pitchfork and Rolling Stone and is now being re-released by Yep Roc records. And Frightened Rabbit's debut album ranks in eMusic's overall Top 100, despite the band being currently unsigned.

The five groups demonstrate the excitement and power of independent music, and eMusic and Urban Outfitters are proud to provide their music a wider audience. A complete tracklisting for the five exclusive EPs are as follows:
