2 Live Crew has released enough compilations to choke a horse, so what is one more in the scheme of things? This showcases songs that were either on movie soundtracks or recorded to be on movie soundtracks. This explains the hilarious "Crew to Crüe," a duet with Mötley Crüe that was meant to capitalize on both groups' media exposure during 1989/1990. Slated for inclusion on the Juice soundtrack, the tensions between the two groups led to its disappearance. Hearing Vince Neil sing "Hanging with the homeboys/We're gonna have some fun tonight" is priceless, making for a wonderful camp moment to kick off the disc. From there it's a typical Luther Campbell collection, featuring his usual filthy sex rhymes ("We Want Some Pussy," "If You Believe in Having Sex") and a few genuinely good hit singles ("Me So Horny," "Yakety Yak"). Anyone looking for a little variety in their 2 Live Crew compilation can start here for the bad-yet-entertaining duet; otherwise, there are several more hits collections that are more complete and flow better.
