  • They Say...

This third volume of live recordings from the Stax/Volt Revue's 1967 European tour collects previously unissued performances from London and Paris. The tempos are accelerated; the singers put just a little bit more effort into the vocals; and the overall effect distances these performances from their studio counterparts. This is no batch of leftovers. Well worth picking up, these performances by Booker T. & the MGs, the Mar-Keys, Carla Thomas, Eddie Floyd, and Otis Redding are every bit as potent as previous volumes in the set.
