  • They Say...

Jeff Linsky's debut for the Concord label is a high-quality Brazilian jazz date. His acoustic guitar sounds perfectly at home in a quietly swinging group which also includes flutist Steve Kujala, bassist John Leitham and both Gary Cardile (who is replaced by Chris Trujillo on three songs) and Louis Conte on percussion. Six Linsky originals, Baden Powell's "Berimbau," "Besame Mucho," and "I Didn't Know What Time It Was" comprise the repertoire, and the music is quite enjoyable.
